The Church Hymnal

The Church Hymnal, first official hymnal since l886, when Hymns and Tunes first appeared, is printed. One of the moving forces behind the development and production of this hymnal is Harold Hannum, who helped to get the music in shape for publication. It contains 703 hymns and is not an immediate success because some feel the hymns are too “high” church; others feel there are too many “cheap” gospel songs, and poor-quality tunes. It will not be accepted and used widely for over a decade.

Anniversary Song
Another six days’ work is done
Anywhere, Dear Saviour
Art thou weary, art thou languid
As with gladness men of old
Ashamed of Jesus
Asleep in Jesus!
At first I prayed for light
At the Door
Awake, my soul, and with the sun
Awake, my soul, in joyful lays
Awake, my soul! stretch every nerve
Awake, ye saints, and raise your eyes
Awake! Jerusalem, awake!

Baptize Us Anew
Be silent, be silent
Beautiful valley of Eden
Before Jehovah’s awful throne
Behold the Lamb of God
Behold the Saviour at the door
Beneath the cross of Jesus
Beneath Thy wing, O God, I rest
Beulah Land
Beyond the starry skies
Blessed Assurance
Blessed Hope
Blessed Hour of Prayer
Blessed Jesus
Blessed Jesus, at Thy word
Blessed Jesus, meek and lowly
Blessed Lord, how much I need Thee
Blest be the tie that binds
Blest hour when mortal man retires
Blow the Trumpet
Bread of Life
Bread of the world in mercy broken
Break Thou the bread of life
Breathe on me, breath of God
Brightly beams our Father’s mercy
Bring them in
Bringing in the sheaves
Build on the Rock
Buried beneath the yielding wave
By Christ redeemed, in Christ restored
By cool Siloam’s shady rill

Call Jehovah thy salvation
Called to the feast by the King are we
Calm me, my God, and keep me calm
Cast thy burden upon the Lord
Chief of sinners though I be
Christ for the world we sing
Christ has for sin atonement made
Christ is knocking at my sad heart
Christ is made the sure foundation
Christ Returneth
Christ the Lord is risen today
Christian, dost thou see them
Christian, seek not yet repose
Christmas Song
Closer to Thee, my Father, draw me

Come unto Me when shadows darkly
Come, every soul by sin oppressed
Come, gracious Spirit, heavenly Dove
Come, Holy Spirit, come
Come, Holy Spirit, heavenly Dove
Come, let us anew our journey pursue
Come, let us sing the song of songs
Come, Lord, and tarry not
Come, my soul, thy suit prepare
Come, O Thou Traveler unknown
Come, Saviour, Come
Come, Sinner, Come
Come, sound His praise abroad
Come, Thou almighty King

Crusader’s Hymn

Dare to be a Daniel
Dark is the hour when death prevails
Daughter of Zion, awake from thy sadness
Day is dying in the west
Day is gone, gone the sun
Dear Lord and Father of mankind
Dear Saviour, we would know Thy love
Deeper Yet
Depth of mercy! — can there be
Dismiss us, Lord, with blessing, we pray
Don’t forget the Sabbath
Draw me nearer
Dying with Jesus, by death reckoned

Early, my God, without delay
Ere mountains reared their forms
Eternal depth of love divine
Eternal Father, God of love
Eternal Light!
Even Me
Evening Prayer
Every Hour

Face to Face
Fade, fade each earthly joy
Fairest Lord Jesus
Faith of Our Fathers
Far and near the fields are teeming
Far away in the depths of my spirit
Far from all care we hail the Sabbath
Father, again in Jesus’ name we meet
Father, I stretch my hands to Thee
Father, I yield to Thee my life
Father, lead me day by day
Father, we come to Thee
Father, whate’er of earthly bliss
Fill Me Now
Firm as a Rock
First Noel
Flee as a bird to your mountain
Fling out the banner! let it float
For all the saints who from their
For all the saints who from their
For Others’ Guilt
For the beauty of the earth
For You I Am Praying
Forth in Thy name, O Lord, I go
Forward Christian, forward!
Fount of Every Blessing
Freely Give
From all that dwell below the skies
From every stormy wind that blows
From Greenland’s icy mountains

Gate Ajar
Gentle Peace, from heaven descended
Gethsemane
Give me Jesus
Give me the Bible, star of gladness
Give thou thy youth to God
Gleams of the Golden Morning
Glorious are the lofty mountains
Glorious things of thee are spoken
Glory be the Father and to the Son
Glory Song
Go preach My gospel
Go to dark Gethsemane
Go, labor on, while yet tis day
God be with you till we meet again
God bless and keep thee through all day
God bless our native land
God is the refuge of His saints
God moves in a mysterious way
God of my life, whose gracious power
God of our fathers, known of old
God of our fathers, whose almighty
God of the universe, to Thee
God save our gracious King
God the Omnipotent
God’s free mercy streameth
Gracious Father, guard Thy children
Gracious Spirit, love divine
Great God, what do I see and hear
Great King of glory, come
Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah

Hail the day that sees Him rise
Hail to the brightness of Zion’s glad
Hail, happy day! thou day of holy rest
Hail, peaceful! divinely blest!
Happy Day
Happy the home when God is there
Hark, my soul! it is the Lord
Hark! ‘tis the Shepherd’s voice I hear
Hark! hark my soul! angelic songs
Hark! hark my soul! angelic songs
Hark! that shout of rapture high
Hark! the herald angels sing
Hark! the voice of Jesus calling
Harvest Time
Have I need of aught, O Saviour
Have Thine own way, Lord
He Hideth My Soul
He Leadeth Me
He reigns! the Lord, the Saviour, reigns
He sleeps in Jesus — peaceful rest
He that goeth forth with weeping
He Will Gather the Wheat
He’s Coming
He’s coming once again
Hear our prayer, O Lord
Heaven at Last
Heaven is my home
Heir of the kingdome, O why dost thou
Here am I, send me
Hiding in Thee
High in the heavens, eternal God
Higher Ground
His Loving-Kindness
Ho! reapers of life’s harvest
Hold Fast Till I Come
Holy as Thou, O Lord, is none
Holy Bible! Book Divine
Holy day, Jehovah’s rest
Holy Spirit, faithful Guide
Holy Spirit, faithful Guide, lead us
Holy Spirit, lamp of light
Holy Spirit, light divine
Holy, Holy, Holy
Holy, righteous, heavenly King
Home of the Soul
Home, Sweet Home
Homeward Bound
Hover o’er me, Holy Spirit
How beauteous are their feet
How Can I Keep From Singing?
How cheering is the Christian’s hope
How far from home?
How firm a foundation
How gentle God’s commands
How pleasant, how divinely fair
How shall I follow Him I serve
How shall we stand in that great day
How sweet are the tidings that greet
How sweet the light of Sabbath eve
How sweet the name of Jesus sounds
How sweet upon this sacred day
How sweet, how heavenly is the sight
How tedious and tasteless the hours
How vain is all beneath the skies
Hushed was the evening hymn

I am coming to the cross
I am coming, Lord
I am so glad that our Father in heaven
I am Thine, O Lord
I am thinking today of that beautiful
I am trusting Thee, Lord Jesus
I ask not, Lord, for less to bear
I come to the garden alone
I come to Thee, O Father
I Do Believe
I gave My life for thee
I give my heart to Thee
I have a Friend so precious
I have a Saviour, He’s pleading in glory
I have a song I love to sing
I hear the Saviour say
I hear Thy welcome voice
I heard the voice of Jesus say
I heard the voice of Jesus say
I know my heavenly Father knows
I know that My Redeemer lives
I lay my sins on Jesus
I long to behold Him arrayed
I love the sacred book of God
I love Thee, I love Thee
I love to steal awhile away
I love to tell the story
I need Thee every hour
I need Thee, precious Jesus
I saw one weary, sad, and torn
I sing the mighty power of God
I Surrender All
I think when I read that sweet story
I will early seek the Saviour
I will follow Thee, my Saviour
I will never, never leave thee
I will not let Thee go
I will sing of Jesus’ love
I will sing you a song of that beautiful
I would be true, for there are those who
I would be, dear Saviour, wholly Thine
I’m a child of the King
I’m a pilgrim, and I’m a stranger
I’m but a stranger here
I’m pressing on the upward way
I’ve found a Friend
I’ve wandered far away from God
If any little word of mine
If through unruffled seas
In Christ there is no east nor west
In heavenly love abiding
In joyful high and holy lays
In our hearts celestial voices
In the beauty of holiness
In the blood from the cross
In the cross of Christ I glory
In the Garden
In the glad time of the harvest
In the heart of Jesus
In the hour of trial
In the land of fadeless day
In the sun, and moon, and stars
Into the woods my Master went
Is My Name Written There?
It came upon the midnight clear
It Is Well
It may be at morn

Jerusalem the golden
Jerusalem, my happy home
Jesus calls us; o’er the tumult
Jesus Comes
Jesus invites His saints
Jesus Is Coming Again
Jesus Is Mine
Jesus is tenderly calling thee home
Jesus Loves Even Me
Jesus Paid It All
Jesus Saves
Jesus the loving Shepherd
Jesus, and shall it ever be
Jesus, come and bless us
Jesus, Friend of little children
Jesus, full of all compassion
Jesus, I my cross have taken
Jesus, I will follow Thee
Jesus, keep me near the cross
Jesus, Lord, we look to Thee
Jesus, lover of my soul
Jesus, lover of my soul
Jesus, Saviour, pilot me
Jesus, still lead on
Jesus, tender Shepherd, hear me
Jesus, the very thought of Thee
Jesus, these eyes have never seen
Jesus, Thou hast promised
Jesus, Thou joy of loving hearts
Jesus, Thy boundless love to me
Jesus, to Thee I now can fly
Jesus, where’er Thy people meet
Joy of loving hearts
Joy to the world, the Lord will come
Just as I am, without one plea
Just for Today
Just Outside the Door
Just over the mountains in the Promised Land
Just when I need Him

Keep me calm

Land of pure delight
Lead them, my God, to Thee
Lead Thou me on, and then my feet
Lead us, heavenly Father, lead us
Lead, kindly Light, amid the encircling
Lean on, O King Eternal
Leaning on Jesus
Lest We Forget
Let all mortal flesh keep silence
Let every lamp be burning bright
Let heaven highest praises bring
Let others seek a home below
Let the little ones come
Let the Lower Lights Be Burning
Let the Saviour In
Let the words of my mouth
Let Thy Spirit, blessed Saviour
Lift Him up, ‘tis He that bids you
Lift up the trumpet, and loud let it ring
Lift up your heads, ye mighty gates
Like as a father pities his child
Little Town of Bethlehem
Live out Thy life within me
Lo! He comes, with clouds descending
Long for my my Saviour I’ve been waiting
Long upon the mountains, weary
Look for the waymarks
Look upon Jesus, sinless is He
Lord Jesus, I long to be perfectly whole
Lord of all being, throned afar
Lord of our life, and God of our salvation
Lord of the ocean vast and deep
Lord of the Sabbath and its light
Lord, at this closing hour
Lord, bless Thy word to every heart
Lord, dismiss us with Thy blessing
Lord, for tomorrow and its needs
Lord, have mercy, have mercy upon us
Lord, her watch Thy church is keeping
Lord, I care not for riches
Lord, I hear of showers of blessing
Lord, I’m Coming Home
Lord, in the fullness of my might
Lord, in the morning Thou shalt hear
Lord, keep us safe this night
Lord, keep us safe this night
Lord, speak to me, that I may speak
Lord, Thy children guide and keep
Lord, we come before Thee now
Lord, we come with hearts aflame
Lord, while for all mankind we pray
Lord, with glowing heart I’d praise Thee
Lord! at Thy feet we humbly lie
Love divine, all loves excelling
Loving-Kindness
Lovingly, Tenderly Calling
Low at Thy pierced feet

Majestic sweetness sits enthroned
Make me a captive, Lord
Marching to Zion
Master, no offering costly or sweet
Master, the tempest is raging
May Jesus Christ be praised
Mid pleasures and palaces
Mighty to Save
Missionary Hymn
Missionary’s Farewell
Moment by Moment
More love to Thee, O Christ
Mourn for the thousands slain
Must Jesus bear the cross alone
My blest Redeemer and my Lord
My country, ‘tis of thee
My faith looks up to Thee
My Father is rich is houses and lands
My Father Knows
My glorious Victor, Prince Divine
My God, how endless is Thy love
My God, is any hour so sweet
My gracious Lord, I own Thy right
My heart is resting, O my God
My hope is built on nothing less
My Jesus, as Thou wilt
My Jesus, I love Thee
My life flows on in endless song
My Lord and I
My Maker and my King
My salvation, my all
My soul, be on thy guard
My spirit on Thy care

Nailed to the Cross
Nazareth
Near the Cross
Near to the Heart of God
Nearer, my God to Thee
Nearer, still nearer, close to Thy heart
Nearing Home
Never stand still
New every morning is the love
No Night There
Not I, but Christ, be honored, love
Not now, but in the coming years
Now God be with us, for the night
Now just a word for Jesus
Now thank we all our God
Now the day is over

O beautiful for spacious skies
O Beulah land
O blessed hour, when evening comes
O bow Thine ear, Eternal One
O brother, be faithful! soon Jesus
O Canada
O Christ, with each returning morn
O Christian, awake! ‘tis the Master’s
O come, all ye faithful
O come, O come, Immanuel
O could I find from day to day
O could I speak the matchless worth
O could our thoughts and wishes fly
O day of rest and gladness
O depth of mercy
O for a closer walk with God
O for a faith that will not shrink
O for a heart to praise my God
O for a thousand tongues, to sing
O for that flame of living fire
O Gift of God, we praise Thee
O God beneath Thy guiding hand
O God mine inmost soul convert
O God of Bethel, by whose hand
O God our help in ages past
O golden day, so long desired
O happy band of pilgrims
O happy day! that fixed my choice
O happy home, where Thou art loved
O holy Lord, content to fill
O how happy are they
O Jesus, I have promised
O Jesus, my Redeemer
O Jesus, Thou art standing
O Lamb of God! still keep me
O let me walk with Thee, my God
O little town of Bethlehem
O Lord of life, Thy kingdom is at hand
O love divine, how sweet thou art
O love divine, that stooped to share
O Love divine, what hast Thou done
O love of God, how strong and true
O Love that wilt not let me go
O Master, let me walk with Thee
O Master! when Thou callest
O now I see the crimson wave
O perfect Love, all human thought
O praise the Lord, all ye nations
O sacred Head, now wounded
O safe to the Rock that is higher than I
O Saviour, precious Saviour
O solemn thought! and can it be
O sometimes the shadows are deep
O spread the tidings round
O tell me, Thou life and delight
O tender and sweet was the Father’s
O Thou in whose presence my soul
O Thou, to whose all-searching sight
O Thou, who hearest every heartfelt
O weary soul, the gate is near
O what their joy and their glory must
O where are kings and empires now
O where are the reapers that garner in
O who in such a world as this
O who is this that cometh
O Word of God Incarnate
O worship the King, all glorious above
O worship the Lord in the beauty of
O Zion, haste, thy mission high
O’er all the land have the signs
Oh, the best friend to have is Jesus
Old Hundredth
On a hill far away stood an old rugged
On hills and vales of heaven
On Jordan’s stormy banks I stand
On the shore beyond the sea
On wings of living light
Once in Jerusalem of old
Once in royal David’s city
Once to every man and nation
One Foundation
One more day’s work for Jesus
One precious boon, O Lord, I seek
One sweetly solemn thought
One thing I of the Lord desire
Only Thee
Only Trust Him
Onward, Christian Soldiers!
Our blest Redeemer, ere He breathed
Our day of praise is done
Our Lord is risen from the dead
Our Parting Hymn
Our Song of Praise
Out from the campfire’s red glowing
Out on an ocean all boundless we ride
Outside the door
Over the Line

Pass me not, O gentle Saviour
Peace, Be Still!
Peace, perfect peace, in this dark world
Pilgrims! on the day is dawning
Portuguese Hymn
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Praise O praise our God and King
Praise the Lord
Praise the Lord, His glories show
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty
Praise ye the Father for His loving
Praise ye the Lord! ’tis good to raise
Prayer is the soul’s sincere desire
Precious Name
Prince of Peace, control my will
Purer yet and purer

Raise the standard high
Recessional
Redeemed! how I love to proclaim it
Rejoice, ye pure in heart
Remember Me
Rescue the perishing
Return, O wanderer, return
Ride on! ride on in majesty
Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky
Rise, my soul, and stretch thy wings
Rock of Ages, cleft for me
Rock that is higher
Room in my heart
Rose of Sharon
Round the Lord in glory seated
Rouse, then, soldiers

Safe in the arms of Jesus
Safely through another week
Saved by Grace
Saviour mine
Saviour, again to Thy dear name
Saviour, blessed Saviour
Saviour, breathe an evening blessing
Saviour, like a Shepherd lead us
Saviour, while my heart is tender
Saviour! Thy dying love Thou gavest
See the leaves around us falling
See, Israel’s gentle shepherd stands
Shall I Let Him In?
Shall we gather at the river
Shall we meet beyond the river
Shall You? Shall I?
Shepherd divine, Thou leadest me
Shepherd of tender youth
Show pity, Lord; O Lord, forgive
Showers of Blessing
Silent night, holy night
Since I have been redeemed
Since to the Holiest none may enter
Sing them over again to me
Sitting at the feet of Jesus
Sleeping on Guard
Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling
Softly now the light of day
Soldiers of Christ, arise
Solid rock
Some day the silver cord will break
Someone will enter the pearly gate
Something for Jesus
Something for Jesus
Sometimes a light surprises
Sometimes We’ll Understand
Soon may the last glad song arise
Sound the battle cry
Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of
Speak, Lord, in the stillness
Spirit divine, attend our prayer
Stand Like the Brave
Stand still and see! yea, see today
Stand up! stand up for Jesus
Standing by a purpose true
Star of our hope! He’ll soon appear
Still still with Thee
Still with Thee, O my God
Sun of my soul, O Saviour dear
Sunlight in the Heart
Sunset and evening star
Sunshine in the Soul
Sweet be thy rest
Sweet By and By
Sweet hour of prayer
Sweet is the work, my God, my King
Sweet Name
Sweet Peace
Sweet promise is given to all who
Sweet the time, exceeding sweet
Sweetly the holy hymn

Take my heart, O Father, take it
Take my life, and let it be
Take the name of Jesus with you
Take the world, but give me Jesus
Take time to be holy
Tell it to every kindred and nation
Tell me the old, old story
Tell me the story of Jesus
Ten thousand times ten thousand
The Best Friend Is Jesus
The Blessed Hope
The Breaking of the Day
The church has one foundation
The church has waited long
The Cleansing Wave
The Comforter Has Come
The coming King is at the door
The dawn of God’s dear Sabbath
The day of resurrection
The day Thou gavest, Lord, is ended
The first noel the angel did say
The glory of the spring how sweet
The God of Abraham praise
The golden morning is fast approaching
The Great Physician now is near
The hand that made us is divine
The Helping Word
The Herald Angels Sing
The hidden years at Nazareth
The home where changes never come
The homeland! O the homeland
The hour of prayer
The judgment has set, the books
The King of love my Shepherd is
The King shall come when morning
The Larger Prayer
The Lord be with us as we bend
The Lord bless you and keep you
The Lord in Zion reigneth
The Lord is coming! let this be
The Lord is in His holy temple
The Lord is in His holy temple
The Lord is in His holy temple
The Lord is my light
The Lord is my Shepherd, no want
The Lord Jehovah reigns
The Lord’s my Shepherd
The Lord’s our Rock
The Matchless Worth
The Mercy Seat
The morning light is breaking
The name of Jesus is so sweet
The Ninety and Nine
The Old Rugged Cross
The Rock That Is Higher
The Sabbath day has reached its close
The shadows lengthen, Lord, with me
The shadows of the evening hours
The Solid Rock
The Son of God goes forth to war
The spacious firmament on high
The sun is on the land and sea
The sun rolls down the distant west
The tempter to my soul hath said
The time is near when Zion’s sons
The wonders of redeeming love
The Wondrous Cross
The Wondrous Cross
The Word, whose word can make me
There comes to my heart one sweet
There is a blessed hope
There is a book that all may read
There is a fountain filled with blood
There is a gate that stands ajar
There is a green hill far away
There is a happy land
There is a land of corn and wine
There is a land of pure delight
There is a name I love to hear
There is a place of quiet rest
There is a road, though narrow
There is a safe and secret place
There is sunlight on the hilltop
There is sweet rest for feet now weary
There lives a voice within me
There shall be showers of blessing
There was One who was willing
There were ninety and nine
There’s a land that is fairer than day
There’s a song in the air
There’s a Stranger at the door
There’s a wideness in God’s mercy
There’s no other name like Jesus
There’s sunshine in my soul today
They brought their gifts to Jesus
They come from the east and west
Thine Approbation
Thine forever! God of love
This is my Father’s world
This is the day of rest
Thou art coming, O my Saviour
Thou Art Near
Thou art, O Christ, the light and life 389
Thou didst leave Thy throne
Thou hidden Source of calm repose
Thou whose almighty word
Throw out the life line
Thy broken body, gracious Lord
Thy holy Sabbath, Lord
Thy kingdom come! on bended knee
Thy mighty love, O God
Thy voice hath spoken
Thy way, not mine, O Lord
Till we meet again
Tis almost time for the Lord to come
Tis by the faith of joys to come
Tis finished! so the Saviour cried
Tis midnight; and on Olives’ brow
Tis my happiness below
Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus
Tis the blessed hour of prayer
To Be Living Is Sublime
To God be the glory
To Thee, O dear, dear Saviour
To us a Child of hope is born
Toil on a little longer here
Tread Softly
Trust and Obey

Under His wings I am safely abiding
Unseen but Known
Unshaken as the sacred hills

Wait, and Murmur Not
Waiting and Watching
Wake the song of joy and gladness
Wake, awake, for night is flying
Walk in the light so shalt thou know
Walking with God
Watch, ye saints, with eyelids waking
Watchful at His gate
Watchman, blow the gospel trumpet
Watchman, tell me, does the morning
Watchmen on the walls of Zion
We are living, we are dwelling
We Are Nearing Home
We gather together to ask the Lord’s
We give Thee but Thine own
We Have an Anchor
We have heard a joyful sound
We have not known Thee as we ought
We know not the hour of the Master’s
We know not the time when He cometh
We may not climb the heavenly steeps
We sing the praise of Him who died
We speak of the realms of the blest
We stand in deep repentance
We three kings of Orient are
We walk by faith
We Worship Thee
We would see Jesus, for the shadows
We’ll build on the Rock, the living Rock
We’ll work till Jesus comes
We’re bound for the land of the pure
We’ve no abiding city here
Weary of earth and laden with my sin
Weeping endures but for a night
Welcome, day of sweet repose
Welcome, delightful morn
Welcome, welcome, day of rest
What a fellowship, what a joy divine
What a friend we have in Jesus
What a Wonderful Saviour
What Hast Thou Done?
What of the night?
When all my labors and trials are o’er
When darkness gathers round thy way
When He cometh
When I survey the wondrous
When I survey the wondrous
When I survey the wondrous
When Jesus shall gather the nations
When morning gilds the skies
When my Saviour, shall I be
When peace, like a river
When the King Comes In
When the King Shall Claim His Own
When the Lord of love was here
When Thou, my righteous Judge 190
When we walk with the Lord 582
When wilt Thou save the people? 675
Whence came the armies of the sky 378
Where Are the Reapers?
Where high the heavenly temple
While Jesus whispers to you
While shepherds watched their flocks
Whiter Than Snow
Wholly Thine
Whosoever Will
Why stand with rusty blade?
Will There Be Any Stars?
Will You Go?
Will your anchor hold in the storm of
With praise, O God, we worship Thee
With reverence let the saints appear
With willing hearts we tread
Within the veil
Wonderful Love of Jesus
Wonderful Peace
Wonderful Words of Life
Work while it is today
Work, for the night is coming
Working, O Christ, with Thee
Workman of God, O lose not heart
Worthy, worthy is the Lamb
Would you win a Saviour’s blessing?

Ye servants of God, your Master
Ye servants of the Lord
Ye watchers and ye holy ones

50. Abide With Me
51. Day is dying in the west
52. Now the day is over
53. All praise to Thee, my God
54. The shadows of the evening hours
55. Now God be with us, for the night
56. Again, as evening’s shadow falls
57. The day Thou gavest, Lord, is ended
58. Our day of praise is done
59. The sun rolls down the distant west
60. O blessed hour, when evening comes
61. The Sabbath day has reached its close
62. Eternal depth of love divine
63. Thy mighty love, O God
64. How gentle God’s commands
65. There’s a wideness in God’s mercy
66. Like as a father pities his child
67. O love of God, how strong and true
68. Jesus, Lord, we look to Thee
69. High in the heavens, eternal God
70. Holy, righteous, heavenly King
71. My Maker and my King
72. Early, my God, without delay
73. Holy, Holy, Holy
74. Round the Lord in glory seated
75. O worship the King, all glorious above
76. The God of Abraham praise
77. Ye watchers and ye holy ones
78. God the Omnipotent
79. Ere mountains reared their forms
80. Holy as Thou, O Lord, is none
81. O God our help in ages past
82. Beneath Thy wing, O God, I rest
83. God of my life, whose gracious power
84. God moves in a mysterious way
85. Eternal Light!
86. The King of love my Shepherd is
87. Lead us, heavenly Father, lead us
88. O God of Bethel, by whose hand
89. God is the refuge of His saints
90. Now thank we all our God
91. The spacious firmament on high
92. There is a book that all may read
93. I sing the mighty power of God
94. All Beautiful the March of Days
95. The glory of the spring how sweet
96. Glorious are the lofty mountains
97. Lord of the ocean vast and deep
98. Rose of Sharon
99. It came upon the midnight clear

100. To us a Child of hope is born
101. While shepherds watched their flocks
102. Silent night, holy night
103. Thou didst leave Thy throne
104. O little town of Bethlehem
105. O come, all ye faithful
106. There’s a song in the air
107. We three kings of Orient are
108. First Noel
109. O come, O come, Immanuel
110. All My Heart This Night Rejoices
111. Hark! the herald angels sing
112. As with gladness men of old
113. Angel from the realms of glory
114. The hidden years at Nazareth
115. When the Lord of love was here
116. Dear Lord and Father of mankind
117. Prince of Peace, control my will
118. When I survey the wondrous
119. When I survey the wondrous
120. When I survey the wondrous
121. Tis midnight; and on Olives’ brow
122. Go to dark Gethsemane
123. There was One who was willing
124. Alas! and Did My Saviour Bleed?
125. In the cross of Christ I glory
126. There is a green hill far away
127. Ride on! ride on in majesty
128. Into the woods my Master went
129. Behold the Lamb of God
130. O sacred Head, now wounded
131. Hail the day that sees Him rise
132. Our Lord is risen from the dead
133. On wings of living light
134. Christ the Lord is risen today
135. The day of resurrection
136. Come, ye faithful, raise the strain
137. Where high the heavenly temple
138. Within the veil
139. Since to the Holiest none may enter
140. My blest Redeemer and my Lord
141. We may not climb the heavenly steeps
142. Love divine, all loves excelling
143. The wonders of redeeming love
144. O love divine, that stooped to share
145. O Love that wilt not let me go
146. Jesus, Thy boundless love to me
147. Dear Saviour, we would know Thy love
148. O love divine, how sweet thou art
149. O Gift of God, we praise Thee
150. How sweet the name of Jesus sounds
151. O Love divine, what hast Thou done
152. Jesus, and shall it ever be
153. Come, let us sing the song of songs
154. Jesus, Thou joy of loving hearts
155. O for a thousand tongues, to sing
156. All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name
157. All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name
158. Jesus, the very thought of Thee
159. Majestic sweetness sits enthroned
160. O Thou in whose presence my soul
161. O could I speak the matchless worth
162. Crown Him with many crowns
163. There is a fountain filled with blood
164. O Saviour, precious Saviour
165. Fairest Lord Jesus
166. Jesus, these eyes have never seen
167. Shepherd of tender youth
168. Worthy, worthy is the Lamb
169. Thou hidden Source of calm repose
170. Beyond the starry skies
171. There is a name I love to hear
172. Come, sound His praise abroad
173. O brother, be faithful! soon Jesus
174. Come, Lord, and tarry not
175. Awake, ye saints, and raise your eyes
176. Lo! He comes, with clouds descending
177. The church has waited long
178. In the sun, and moon, and stars
179. He reigns! the Lord, the Saviour, reigns
180. Watchman, tell me, does the morning
181. Ye who rose to meet the Lord
182. Tis almost time for the Lord to come
183. Let every lamp be burning bright
184. Watchmen on the walls of Zion
185. Heir of the kingdom, O why dost thou
186. Long for my my Saviour I’ve been waiting
187. The Lord is coming! let this be
188. Star of our hope! He’ll soon appear
189. Joy to the world, the Lord will come
190. When Thou, my righteous Judge
191. He’s coming once again
192. Hark! that shout of rapture high
193. Thy kingdom come! on bended knee
194. The King shall come when morning
195. Great God, what do I see and hear
196. Thou art coming, O my Saviour
197. Wake, awake, for night is flying
198. O Lord of life, Thy kingdom is at hand
199. We speak of the realms of the blest
