- Wrote 1500 (give or take) gospel songs, hymns, children’s songs, secular songs, and glee club songs
- Collaborated with his brother — he wrote the text, while his brother Bentley, secretary and pianist of Billy Sunday, set it to music
- Edited for the Rodeheaver Publishing Company
- Awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Sacred Music by John Brown University, Arkansas
