This is one of several sentences and responses written by John Read (1933; see SDAH 278) and published in 1983 by his Clarion Call Music, Inc., in octavo form for choirs. It can be used for an introit or a prayer response. One scripture reference is John 4:10 “He would have given thee living water.”

May each heart become Thy throne,
Let Thy living water flow
That we Thy boundless love may know.
