CHRISTIAN LIFE >> MEDITATION AND PRAYER

SDAH 482

Father, lead me day by day,
Ever in Thine own sweet way;
Teach me to be pure and true;
Show me what I ought to do.

Text

1
Father, lead me day by day,
Ever in Thine own sweet way;
Teach me to be pure and true;
Show me what I ought to do.

2
When in danger, make me brave;
Make me know that Thou canst save;
Keep me safe by Thy dear side;
Let me in Thy love abide.

3
When tempted to do wrong,
Make me steadfast, wise, and strong;
And when all alone I stand,
Shield me with Thy mighty hand.

4
May I do the good I know,
Be Thy loving child below,
Then at last go home to Thee,
Evermore Thy child to be.

In every decision that we make, only God’s guidance and leadings will give us assurance . (Lesson 8, 4th Quarter 2020 – Monday, Jesus As Teacher, 11/16/2020)

Being prepared is a biblical mandate. The Bible provides us with a lot of guidance that each of us will be ready to meet Him in the air. As we journey, may we unceasingly plead that God will lead us day by day. (Lesson 7, 1st Quarter 2021 -Sunday, Strings Attached, 2/07/2021)

Life, strength, wisdom, riches and honor; any success we could ever achieve are gifts from a loving Father and not our own. As people see this, they realize that He is also their Father, and is only waiting for them to accept His greatest Gift: His Son. (Lesson 8, 1st Quarter 2023, Managing for the Master – Tuesday, “Working With Integrity” 2/22/23)
